Collaboration
While producing Tips I worked with a plethora of teams in order to provide timely delivery of the latest releases, partnering with the US Tips team, Marcom, Business Affairs and QA, along with feature specific teams, such as Maps, Pages/Keynote/Numbers and HomePod to create the best localized experience for the consumer. Please see Workflow for a more in depth look.

Working with these teams allowed me to create a better user experience, however it increased the workload, took time away from production tasks, and added complexity to existing graphics. In order to achieve these new aggressive deadlines with heavy content while maintaining production quality, I began working with software engineers to create automation scripts that alleviated manual tasks.
Please see Automation for a more in depth look.

Data Assessment
Annually we received stats on the number of Tips users per country. Curious if our tier 3 countries really had such low usage, I dug a little further. Comparing iOS users to population size and Tips hits we were able to determine that previously lower tier languages were actually high users compared to population size. Knowing these facts we started targeting these locales with more region specific content and curated tips.

Team Building
My direct manager had an extensive team to run, with branches in Ireland and China. To elevate his in-house planning I took it upon myself to develop team building exercises.
Celebrations
No matter the occasion, I would make certain to bring in a cake, setup a luncheon or a cocktail hour. I felt that if we spend more time with our team than anyone else, we should treat them as more than just business colleagues.
Acknowledgment of Work
Because our work was shipped abroad, internally all our work went unseen. I wanted a way for the designers to see their work and have a sense of pride for what they do.
I made a point of obtaining printed materials, whether it be an iPhone box or an accordion folded QuickStart guide to bring in and show the team. And on app release days I would always start the morning with a 'We went live today!'
